ABOUT
Pogoto.com is the graduating portfolio and personal space
of me, Larry Reynolds Jr. I am a motion/interactive designer
living in Portland, Oregon with my wife Misty and our
children Eleven, Amulet, and Jupiter. The word pogoto
is a concatenation of the word 'pogo' and the programming
phrase 'goto'. So in other words, jump up and down with your geek out,
baby! Other than that, it is just a word to use in place of my name. It is a
brand, a paradigm, and a weapon of confusion. The pogotosaur logo symbolizes
the inevitable necessity of burying the dead in order to make room for the living,
a concept that I believe is very pertinent to my chosen field. It's also
my personal stab against creationism as well as the anti-humanistic concepts of sin and divine punishment.

Next week is my last week at Fashionbuddha. I've accepted a really sweet position at Summit Projects, and I'm starting to realize that this means I won't be doing much freelance for a while. I'm thinking about tearing everything down and turning it into the rainbows4dinosaurs blog. Of course that would beg the question: If I won't have time to freelance, how the hell am I going to find the time to blog?

My first paying project with Nemo launched last Monday! www.opticallydelicious.com
I guess the guys at Smith Optics are pretty stoked, which is good. There are things about the site I would definitely like to improve, but it was one of those "here's some of the content, site launches in ten days, go for it" sort of deals, which is fine. Gave me a chance to prove myself, and a really good reason to go on vacation next week!
2005-07-02 :: scratch that....
Well, I did code a version of the site that swap styles, but I wasn't able to fully implement it due to the fact that my copy of fireworks appears busted beyond repair and is making the export of certain graphics near impossible. Oh well, there are more important issues to wrestle with right now.
I did get rid of the javascript alert for i.e. users... I was getting the impression that not everybody was getting the joke. Sorry.
